Upcoming Trial – Death of Abdirahman Abdi
An important criminal trial begins on Monday, February 4th, 2019 at the Ottawa Courthouse. These much anticipated proceedings will rekindle emotions and discussions about very difficult topics and issues for all stakeholders in this process which is seen to conclude in early May.

Since the City received an engineered plan on January 10 to brace Magee House, we have been in conversation almost daily with the engineering firm that created it, as well as with the Ministry of Labour and the property owner.

Sherbrooke Avenue Road Closure – Monday-Friday, January 14th-18th.
Short notice from the City: Contractors will be hooking up services to a new home on Sherbrooke Avenue. The street will be closed to all but local traffic and emergency vehicles from Monday to Friday this week. To maintain local access, Sherbrooke will be converted to two-way traffic during the closure.
