Celebrate Spring by planting a tree for Mother Earth. Apply, pick up, and plant. Let’s increase the tree canopy in our neighbourhood!
HERE ARE THE STEPS AND REQUIREMENTS!
Step 1: Apply and Choose your Tree – Fill out the form HERE
- Trees must be planted in Hintonburg. (if unsure of borders, please reach out to freespringtree@gmail.com)
- One per household.
- Trees come in 2 gallon pots. All trees are native species.
- Make 3 tree choices: first, second and third. We want to do our best to provide you with a tree but our inventory for each species is limited so we need this information
Step 2: Pick Up Your Tree on Saturday, May 9
- Between 9 a.m. and NOON at Hintonburg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington Street K1Y 2Y3
Step 3: Commitment to Care and Partner with HCA
- Show your commitment to your tree with proper care. Planting instructions will be provided. We view this as a partnership with you to increase our tree canopy for ecosystem benefits such as shade, air quality and mental health.
