The HCA is pleased to co-sponsor an event put on by the Somerset West Community Health Centre marking the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
The event is titled Racism and Colonialism as Social Determinants of Health. City community leaders and trailblazers will discuss how our health and well-being are affected.
Racism can manifest within organizations and decision-making processes. Diligence is required to recognize, confront and prevent racist acts and practices as our society pursues racial justice.
The event sold out immediately but one might check with organizers before the March 19th event to see if any space has freed up. You may see the event poster by clicking on the link below or learn more here from the Somerset West Community Health Centre’s website.
