HCA is excited to bring the community a talk by Master Gardeners of Ottawa-Carleton. As gardening weather is beginning, come and learn what to plant to attract bees and other pollinators.
Bees are our most important pollinators. Many bee species are declining, mainly because of habitat loss. You can make a difference by creating a bee-friendly space in your garden or patio. Julianne Labreche has been a Master Gardener for nearly a decade, and is passionate about pollinator gardens. Julianne often speaks to communities and groups about gardening for bees. Master Gardeners of Ottawa-Carleton is a group of volunteers in the Ottawa area. They are experienced gardeners who have studied horticulture and continue to upgrade our skills through technical training. With this training and education, they provide unbiased horticultural advice and expertise to home gardeners.
