We have lost another strong community member. Former HCA Board Member and former HCA President Brenna Rivier passed away this week.
Brenna was one of the founders of the children’s choir “Street of Rock” that has performed at events in the community for a decade or more including Kringle, ArtsPark and the Summer Solstice Party in Stirling-Carruthers Park. She led the “Walks for Safety” in 2005 that started the process of transforming this community into what it is today.
On Oct. 21 she was with us at Tom Brown Park protesting the proposal to park trucks on the green-space. That’s her holding the sign. We won that fight!
Hintonburg mourns her passing and we thank her so much for her work and commitment to this neighbourhood.
